The Legality of Magic During Prohibition

As a point of order it is illegal to collect, manufacture, transport, or sell Moon Dust or Moonshine. Possession of Moon Dust or Moonshine is not strictly illegal, neither is using magic or possessing magic items since they could come from before Prohibition or a Pact, they are however both suspicious and the police might ask you questions seeking an illegal activity to lock you up for or a speakeasy to bust. Additionally strictly for Addiction treatment and magical healing doctors are permitted to use and dispense government provided Moonshine, but it’s incredibly watered down and difficult to use to actually produce spells of any significant potency.

Otherwise magic itself is treated similar to firearms, require a license to use in any non-private capacity.
