Description

To the west and south is where a number of foothills lead towards a small mountain chain that offered the original town protections from weather and a steady source of water from streams and rivers which ran off it. The Shattering hit the area hard with impacts and it became a craggy mess and far more dangerous as time went on. While it’s easy to say with confidence that the Lake has been almost completely mined, these western crags, are riddled with abandoned mines and rumors abound about people finding the occasional Dust deposit. You might have some luck, but these days you’d have to deal with the very real fact that both Lunatics and non-Lunatic creatures prowl these crags.

Denizens

Wildfolk tribes, Lunatic Hunters, and desperate Dust miners frequent the Crags hoping to find something useful. Oh, and all the Lunatics.

History

They used to be a smoother range of hills and a couple of large mountains that shielded the old town from bad weather, but The Shattering tore them up, peppering them with debris. That debris gave rise to a fairly high population of Lunatic wildlife.
