Description
A building and business located in the south end of the Residential District near the line of the Docks District, which appears, at first, to be a cafe and diner. Any regular folk who don’t know the secret can come in and buy a decent cup of joe and a warm meal. Those clientele who have earned the trust of the owners and operators are kept in the loop on a rotating pass phrase that will give you access to a private “dining” area which operates as a Moonshine speakeasy.
For the time being the place remains independent, hiring Lunatic hunters and Dust diggers to get them Moon Dust, which is then processed on site and bottled up for sale.
To augment the business and entice people other legal and less legal activities are also common attractions to the “private” dining experience. Live music is sometimes played by the house band, the Moonflowers. The house will run fight nights once a week, and allows gambling, but doesn’t actually manage any table games itself. They’re currently looking for other ways they can stand out from similar businesses and keep both the money and the Moonshine flowing, but don’t want to get too illegal about it.
It’s co-owned by Jimmie Wood and Barnabas Moon. The two employ a number of people to keep both the front and the speakeasy running smoothly, including The Celestial Sips Crew and the Moonflowers.
Denizens
Many of the Crew actually call this place home and much of the staff call it that even if they don't live here. The clientele vary wildly from those who know nothing of the speakeasy who just like the coffee and pie the cafe serves, to those who come here to serve an addiction. The place has a calm and laid back vibe, and most costumers come here for that.
