What used to be a marketplace in olden days evolved into a place where wheelers, dealers, and merchants strike bargains and make plans, and where city officials run everything from. Paperwork, boardroom meetings, and fine suits are what you can expect to see here. And while not as gilded and golden as The Entertainment District, this district makes up for that with size and style. Strong, clean lines adorn massive towers stretching into the sky where these big wigs do their business.

You’d think the criminal element would be absent here, but it’s plenty common. Whether crime families using business as a front, or corrupt officials taking bribes or keeping secrets. While you won’t easily spot the crimes, they’re here and they might be some of the worst, since they’re the kind looking to make the rich richer.

Denizens

There is a significant migrant population of white collar day laborers and government functionaries who come from all over the city during the day. The place is almost dead at night, but that's how the actual residents, the rich and powerful and members of the City Government like it.

History

The place grew to be the heart of the city out of necessity. As the city grew out from the old town, needing more and more organization for those mining and processing Dust, the center just kind of became the place everyone met, traded, and made deals. Eventually it evolved to be more than a market as the city continued to grow and both government and business needed a home.
