Description
Nicknames: Crater’s Edge (Common); Dead End or Dead (Criminal)
Wooden and cement docks stretch from this district into Crater Lake. While old wooden buildings mix with stone structures built more for utility than anything else, you can sometimes catch some beauty here… though it’s older than the more modern styles. Far fewer vessels head out these days, and the ones that do are usually traveling down the rivers with cargo to other towns and cities. The docks used to be one of the liveliest places before The War, since the largest deposit of Moon Dust was at the bottom of the lake boats would be out on the water all day, sending down divers in bells, and lowering cranes and nets to collect the stone.
The criminal element in this district can often be found smuggling, trawling the bottom for the few last pebbles of Dust, or hunting aquatic Lunatics to harvest. But this is probably the saddest and quietest district these days. The mayoral race coming up next year has candidates discussing what to do about the district and the larger problem of not having a ton of income from Moon Dust in general.
Denizens
Most who live here are the children of washed up Dust miners and those who shipped Moonshine down the rivers of the lake before Prohibition.

History
The second district formed after The Shattering. It was originally a mining camp on the edge of the crater, but eventually evolved as the crater became a lake and the need to mine it underwater and ship it down river became more important. Now this proud history is fading away as the district slowly dies.
